Description

Sustainability has become an important focus area for organizations as stakeholders increasingly expect businesses to operate in a manner that balances economic growth, environmental protection, and social responsibility. The concept is closely linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which provide a global framework of 17 goals aimed at addressing challenges such as poverty, climate change, inequality, and sustainable economic development. In the corporate context, sustainability is often evaluated through Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, which measure how an organization manages its environmental impact, social responsibilities toward employees and communities, and governance practices such as transparency, ethics, and accountability. Together, SDGs and ESG frameworks guide companies in integrating sustainable practices into their strategies and operations, enabling them to create long-term value while contributing positively to society and the environment.
