Standards on Auditing - Internal Audits

Internal audit is an independent and objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization’s operations. It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes. Internal auditors review operational, financial, and compliance activities to identify weaknesses, assess risks, and recommend improvements to management.
